The Johnny Coleman Cottage is a sensitive renovation of a historic Cotswold-style cottage on the Unity Village campus. Named for the first African American minister in Unity Worldwide Ministries, the cottage is being restored as a short-term rental and executive suite for the many visitors who arrive at Unity Village each day.
The renovations will be extensive, touching every surface and element of the building. The exterior work will restore the cottage’s original character based on historic photos and archived documentation.
The interior work will reconfigure the layout to create two separate bedroom suites and will carefully insert wood-paneled walls and cabinetry to define the new spaces and provide privacy between the sleeping quarters.
