The Waldo Garage is an adaptive reuse of an auto-repair shop into a flexible tenant space and pocket park. Located in a redeveloping neighborhood with multi-story construction and minimal street level activation, the design reinforces the human scale of the existing buildings and site to maintain street-level engagement. The structures will be remediated, cleaned, and minimally refurbished for future tenants. The pocket park, open to the public, will feature a dense bosque of shade trees with picnic tables and a variety of hardscape and seating areas to accommodate a range of outdoor uses.
